Marketing is the deliberate communication of value, intended to influence consumer decisions. The entire marketing process begins with market research, identifying your target market, and understanding customer needs. Marketing operations include all aspects of the business, from developing the product concept to advertising. The goal of marketing is to get people interested in your product or service no matter where they are in the sales cycle.

But how do you mean start to decipher and understand what your brand needs to grow? Working with a Marketing Specialist who has a strong understanding in digital marketing is the best way to ensure success for your brand.

In the age of COVID, many have rebranded themselves as experts but few have the demonstrated track record of success like Laura Pena, Associate Community Manager at the award-winning agency Collectively.

Ms. Pena possesses the unique experience of working with influencers, major brands, Hollywood studios, and small businesses. Her marketing knowledge and expertise is multifaceted, allowing her to resolve any marketing challenge. An expert in Client/Media Relations, Experiential Marketing, Influencer Relations, Public Speaking, Social Media Management, she is the go-to marketing professional for any marketing initiative.

Her career, filled with many achievements, spans 2 major locations: D.C and NYC, cities both known for their rigor, competitive nature, and talent. However, for Ms. Pena, her expertise allows her to flourish and shine among her peers. For example, she served as the Marketing Director for Chi Omega, a women’s fraternity and a member of the National Panhellenic Conference, the umbrella organization of 26 women’s fraternities. Chi Omega has 181 active collegiate chapters and approximately 240 alumnae chapters. Since its founding in 1895 at the University of Arkansas, the sorority has initiated over 355,000 members with more than 28,000 undergraduates added each year, making it the largest women’s sorority organization by membership.

In this leadership capacity as the Marketing Director for Chi Omega, she boosted Instagram follower count by 32%, redesigned chapter marketing program to have a more distinct social voice, and designed graphic collateral for social platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat and Vimeo.

Also in D.C, she diversified her expertise by working with small businesses during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to help them survive this difficult time. For Colada Shop and Serenata DC, she created quarterly campaigns for clients including editorial calendars, social media feeds, and email marketing copy to grow our client’s following, brand awareness, and revenue stream. To monitor the brands’ success, she created and presented monthly analytics reports to clients including key performance indicators for Instagram, Facebook, and email marketing to inform and improve strategy for the next 6–8 weeks. Ms. Pena and the Ringlet team’s extensive efforts, were highlighted in the Washingtonian and Washington City Paper ( (https://www.washingtonian.com/2020/06/24/colada-shop-opens-a-waterfront-cuban-cafe-at -the-dc-wharf/;

After completion of her successful tenure in D.C, Ms. Pena set her sights on NYC. Currently she serves as an Associate Community Manager for Collectively, an award-winning marketing and influencer agency. As a thought leader, she has drafted thought-leadership articles for the Collectively blog on topics related to the industry and the production of our bi-weekly Community Newsletter, which garners consistently high engagement week over week. Additionally, she is responsible for creating, scheduling, and publishing content across the agency’s core social channels: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. However, in addition to her efforts for the Collectively brand, Ms. Pena also supports a roster of clients, including Target and Kiehl’s since 1851.

These major brands demand nothing but perfection and Ms. Pena’s reputation is synonymous with success.
